The term "knowledge framework"
refers to the semantic and conceptual structure used to organize
digital repositories for effective access and navigation.
A knowledge framework consists of
three main components:
- browsable taxonomies of content, people, and tasks
- controlled vocabularies (thesauri)
- content and audience metadata
